Hi David,
Thanks for asking!
First, I showed some "poor video" while demonstrating Posterous and the ease of iPhone uploading.
Then I went through some of the key points from the Web Style Guide chapter on multimedia.
The aquarium video was one of several examples shown to illustrate concepts from the chapter: first the obvious video and content, but also the strategies of 'informing your users,' 'providing controls,' etc.
Other examples included foley arts from the Terminator 2 DVD bonus materials (illustrating sound layers) and SND's award winners for animation in news.
